Kisumu Rangi Migori N. Kinangop Aberdare
On Tuesday in Rangi (near
Asumbi) we prayed for
Pastor Stephanos’ father. Joe had the kids of the orphanage mimicking his
Swahili. Instead of the toilet we now had an outdoor pit. Welcome to Kenya
folks. We had a traditional Kenyan meal of fried chicken, spinach stuff, and
ungali. Of course by now we are only drinking a beverage called “Stoney
Tangawizi”. Coca-Cola makes it and it tastes like Vernors with Cayenne
Pepper in it. Yeh! After dinner we had a service in the church, which was lit by
gas lantern. David taught on “Deliverance from Demons” and it was
powerful. We did a mass ministering at the end. A bit loud but the praise and
worship was awesome. Arne was drunk I the spirit and was staggering around. Joe
ministered the Holy Spirit to Bro. Emanuel. He let it fly, Mordecai. David
prayed for a woman’s reproductive system to get working again. Afterwards we
prayed for Bro. Joseph. He was sweaty, cold and his throat hurt. David also
prayed for back. Wow, another full day.
Wednesday we got up with our morning tea and eggs. Bro.
Joel walked us around the compound and showed us the orphanage, his house, his
land and his vision for the place. The Lord has blessed this place. He has a
great vision to expand. His heart is for the children and the lost. It was a
very humbling time. After showing us around, Bro. Joel had us each plant two
trees on his property. We also saw where Pastor Boyd had planted his before us.
Joe finally “preached” in the a.m. You Go Joe. He shared on our
authority over Satan. We the taught them how to cast spirits out of themselves
and they did it. Thank you Bro Dale for your teaching on TRU COPS. It works. Bro
Joseph shared the story about his back. How it had hurt the night before until
David prayed for it. He wondered how he knew. We were able to share with him
about revelation in ministering. He was healed.
David “Okoth” prophesied for the rain to stop and the
stars to come out before “wimping” out and going to take a nap. That
afternoon, Joe and Arne to taught the afternoon session. They were divided up
and Joe taught the Pastors about the nine manifestations of Holy Spirit. Arne
went with the women and taught on honoring their husbands and being their best
friends. When David woke up he found a stick and taught the children American
cricket or baseball with a tennis ball from Harrods. Arne, Joel and Joe went for
a walk up the road. When they came back we prayed for a very sick child whose
parents died from aids. He was practically gray in color. Then a baby was
brought to us for prayer. She had not been feeling well. We ministered to her.
The clouds cleared up and as the beautiful sunset appeared on the horizon. We
saw Jupiter begin to shine. One by one the stars all came out in their
brilliance. Orion was the dominator of the evening sky. There is nothing like
stargazing in Kenya.
That evening we started at 9 p.m. for the service. David
reiterated his prophecy of the rain and stars. He also told the congregation of
the healing in Bro Joseph. He then spoke of the woman that he had prayed for the
night before. Joel had told him that such a woman existed. David stated that not
only would she get pregnant, but that she would also bring forth a son. Arne
taught on “Spirit, Soul and Body”, about being in God’s Army. David
and team paired people off and had them pray for each other. People were casting
out demons and speaking deliverance into people’s lives. Pastor Joel’s wife,
Sarah was in a “proclaiming” mood. She went on for at least five minutes in
proclaiming God’s goodness and justice. The church spent some time saying
goodbye to us. When one says, “I only have a little to say,” bring
out the caffeine. But truly, their love for us showed as they shared their
hearts as to what happened over the past two days. Our God is good. Great is
love and mercy. After the service we spent time with Bro Joel and ministered to
him. The Lord had some words for him through prophecy. He was truly blessed. So
were we. Acts 29 revisited.
Thursday morning they brought to us the little boy that
we had prayed for the day before. His color was no longer gray but vibrant
brown. Praise our King, Jesus! We ministered and prophesied to our anointed
translator, Bro Joseph Odoul. He was very blessed. After this they didn’t want
us to leave, even when Pastor Okinda arrived to take us to Migori.
It seems like they kept a piece of our heart there. Joe asked for a song with
“Yesu ni bwana” in it before he came back. Right then and there they
went into a prophetic song where the chorus was just that. In between the chorus
there were all these prophetic lines that many were singing. This went on for
twenty minutes. When we packed the car everything didn’t fit. So we claimed it
all to fit inside this Toyota Corolla station wagon. It did. And then we said
our goodbyes again and drove off down the mountain to Migori.
