Everyone was up at 4:00 a.m. to bring their luggage down to the
van. After loading the rack with the suitcases we drove downtown to pick up our
driver Jolince. Also along for the ride were Sandra and Wilson who were heading
back to the DR side of the island. Zamore was also coming to keep Jolince
company on the six hour drive back to Les Cayes. By the way I neglected to
mention that Zamore received the baptism of the Holy Spirit while she was
interpreting to help others receive. She was very blessed and had tears running
down her face.
As we headed out of Les Cayes under the huge 500th Anniversary
sign, we once again said goodbye to our home for the past week. We prayed that
fruit would abound with the Word of God that was taught. Once again, that those
faithful saints that we taught would also be faithful to teach other who would
then teach others. The morning was just starting to dawn as 5:30 a.m. came
around. We made it to St. Louis Bay just as the sun peaked over the horizon to
cast it glow on the serene water. If you click on the picture you can then save
it as a screensaver on your computer.
The trip to Leogane was uneventful which is always a bon
bagay (good thing). We arrived at the home of P. Lubin's brother Joel and
took a rest stop. Sandra and Wilson were going to stay there for the night to
catch the bus for the DR early the next day. After seeing P. Lubin's other
brother, P. Nideau we headed for the 2 hour ride to the airport. We had an easy
ride for the most part until we came to a standstill. It was there that Jolince
took us a shortcut up into the higher part of the city. We even drove by the
Palace which was so white. As it turns out we made it to the airport where we
said our goodbyes and waited in the air-conditioned building.
As it neared boarding time there were three airplanes that had
arrived. One for Miami, Montreal, and NYC. The others were actually supposed to
leave before ours so when they called for the plane to board we did not really
understand what they said. We sat waiting thinking it was the Miami plane that
was boarding first, until P. Lubin checked and found out that it was the NYC
plane. If we had not asked we would have missed the flight (Praise the Lord),
but we settled in and with a smooth flight and rainy ride home from JFK we got
back to Wallingford around 11:30 p.m. Thank you God!
To all who prayed for us or assisted us financially to
accomplish what we did for Jesus, thank you. Your prayers were felt and needed
as we were kept out of the soup on many occasions. For all who were part of the
Team, Pastor Lubin and Pastor Dave would like to thank you for making this trip
such a smooth and blessed one to be on. We know that you also were praying much
for the unity of the team as well as interceding for the work going on in the
Holy Spirit. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all to the glory
of God the Father. Amen!
