Welcome to the gallery of things up in the sky above.

We'll try to keep to appraised of events that are happening up in the night sky so that you can fully enjoy the wonders that are above us nightly. Things like:

• Comet Hartley being photograghed by the Deep Impact space probe
• Maybe it's that wild galxy in the Indus group of stars that looks like a Crown of Thorns
• How about that fantastic panorama of the Milky Way shot from the Hubble Telescope!
• Or maybe staring at the Milky Way from the floor of Death Valley on a cloudless night.
